I pride myself in having a diverse skill set, and sometimes it's hard to categorize everything that I've done.  Keeping an open mind to a wide range of projects helps keep things interesting and challenges me to approach each assignment in a different way.  Below are some recent projects ranging from event branding, marketing, activations, livery design, micro sites and more.

Red Bull Bay Climb

There’s nothing more exciting in the world of cycling than that last mad dash to the finish line, the all-out leg clobbering final push that separates the meek from the mighty. Red Bull Bay Climb is a straight line sprint up the historic, near vertical Potrero Hill in San Francisco that promises to deliver those end-of-race moments for all involved.

User Interface Design & Layout

The crew at Red Bull tasked me with designing a microsite for the event.  Using their existing key visual for the race I developed an in-depth Splash page featuring detailed event information and easy to use registration.

DC x Toyota Build Off

In 2013 DC Shoes teamed up with Toyota USA to create the ultimate Toyota Tacoma.  I took lead on design for the DC Moto truck alongside Nate Adams and Tyler Bereman as we competed in a friendly competition against the Skateboarding and Snowboarding teams.

MOTO TRUCK & CAMPAIGN DESIGN

I was in charge of designing the campaign for this contest including all graphics, titles, marketing material, and even an app for Facebook where users would vote for their favorite build.  We were able to align DC and Toyota’s campaigns seamlessly and I had so much fun mocking up all the different ideas we had for the moto truck.
In the end, we were out-voted and the snow team won the competition. Good times nonetheless!

DC Shoes Supercross 2014

When designing DC's activation for the 2014 Supercross series it was essential that it represented their new "Defy Convention" campaign.

To defy convention with this project we created a garden of podiums featuring different product on top of them.  Featured on the front of the podiums was an anamorphic perspective of the "Defy Convention" wordmark.

Other design assets included a truck wrap, truck canopy, booth layout, tough block covers, LCQ board, in stadium banners, digital graphics for stadium projectors, and graphics for the "Defy Convention LCQ" video.

DC Shoes Supercross 2013

in 2012 I had the opportunity to take lead on designingDC Shoes activation for the upcoming 2013 Supercross season.

This included designing assets to compliment DC's "Defined by DC" campaign ranging from a banners for the stadium, tough block covers, the LCQ board, digital assets for the stadium screens and digital projectors and direction on the short "Moto: Defined by DC commercial the film crew put together to play in stadium. 

I also took lead on designing the DC booth in the pits including the truck wrap, awning, banners, signage, product displays, photo booth, autograph posters, and configuring an overall layout for the activation.

Toyota Supercross Truck 2014

I was hired to design a truck wrap for the Toyota Supercross trucking 2014.  Since the Supercross tour travels to several cities across the US I figured I would incorporate a subtle roadmap as a background texture while still maintaining a clean and bold look.  Another cool design element was the US map stylized graphically with bold diagonal lines and white highlights representing all the different stops on the tour.

Nick Wey: Mafia Moto Crew

During my time at Answer Racing I got to know Nick Wey and discovered that he is one of the nicest and funniest characters in the sport of Supercross. 
In the winter of 2012 he asked me if I would design his Mafia Moto Crew livery for the upcoming 2013 season and I was honored.
